Stories of nature claiming Chernobyl back, with animal and plant life now in abundance have always intrigued me. The catastrophic incident is being brought to life by HBO (and has quite kindly been brought to the Middle East by OSN’s WAVO platform).
Coincidentally I discovered Pink Floyd’s ‘Marooned’ only last week, the video featuring the town in its stark beauty, abandoned by mankind.
While the show is being promoted as one that speaks of the heroism of individuals that prevented wider radiation, will recreating the horrific incident for TV reopen old wounds?
